After reissuing gems like CRIONIC and MENTAL DECAY, here’s another absolute classic from the holy grail of the Danish 80s Metal scene… With their evil, haunting atmospheres – BATTALION were combining the best elements of early day thrash/speed metal with a slower, doomish vibe. You can hear influences drawing from Artillery, Slayer, Venom, Nasty Savage and Celtic Frost.
In their short existence, they recorded two demo-tapes (1986-1987), both included in this collection. Sourced and mastered from the original 1/4″ reels.
