DESEKRYPTOR – Vortex Oblivion LP (Gold Vinyl)

DESEKRYPTOR - Vortex Oblivion LP (Gold Vinyl)

BLOOD HARVEST RECORDS is proud to present DESEKRYPTOR’s highly anticipated debut album, Vortex Oblivion, on CD, vinyl LP, and cassette formats.

For nearly a decade now, Indiana’s DESEKRYPTOR have been patiently perfecting their craft. In 2017 arrived two demos – Demo 2016 and Chasm of Rot – which were then collected together under the title of the latter and released by BLOOD HARVEST on cassette later that year. A year later came a split with comrades Draghkar, also via BLOOD HARVEST, and the momentum seemed to be in DESEKRYPTOR’s favor: good ‘n’ gutted DEATH METAL, with a bit of a blackened singe. Five years of silence followed until the Curse of the Execrated EP, which proved that the quartet had only become more poised and powerful during that hiatus.

Now, at long last, DESEKRYPTOR reveal the full fathom of that poise & power with their debut album, Vortex Oblivion. Aptly titled, Vortex Oblivion is a churning ‘n’ spurning vacuum of charred riffing, mangled rhythms, and dread atmosphere. As they’ve proven in the past but more so display here, DESEKRYPTOR keenly navigate that spectral divide between classic / “old school” death metal and the genre’s tendrilous developments in recent years. From heads-down tank propulsion and doomed-out stomp on to atonal and/or angular twists and mesmerizing blackened slipstreaming, no tool of death metal’s ancient and modern schools is left untouched. But, above all, it’s the manner in which DESEKRYPTOR wield those tools that puts Vortex Oblivion over, the band’s songwriting acumen pulling it all together to create a seamless experience and still leaving plenty of atmosphere to spare as you’re summarily crushed – and then minced. This is what classic death metal debuts are made of!

DESEKRYPTOR / DRAGHKAR – Split 7EP

BLOOD HARVEST RECORDS are proud to present a special split EP between DESEKRYPTOR and DRAGHKAR on cassette tape and 7″ vinyl formats.

Striking while the iron's hot, this split between DESEKRYPTOR and DRAGHKAR follows respective cassette releases on BLOOD HARVEST last year. DESEKRYPTOR's track continues the gangrenous punishment of their Chasm of Rot EP, here with an added clarity that somehow makes their sepulchral Metal of Death even more miasmic and malodorous. DRAGHKAR also offer up a new track, here foregoing their more doomed-out style on the World Unraveled EP for a more uptempo style of death metal that nevertheless retains its old-school classicism. Together, both bands get in and get out, decimating the listener with nothing but the purest DEATH FUCKING METAL!

DESEKRYPTOR – Chasm Of Rot CASSETTE

BLOOD HARVEST is proud to present DESEKRYPTOR's second recording, Chasm of Rot, on cassette tape. DESEKRYPTOR are a power-trio hailing from Indiana, in the United States, and soon after forming recorded a debut demo entitled Demo 2016. Striking while the iron's hot, DESEKYRPTOR unleash the fittingly titled Chasm of Rot! Five songs totaling 18 ugly 'n' unholy minutes, Chasm of Rot is a pustulent plunge deep into the bowels of a nameless hell. Grinding and gangrenous, DESEKRYPTOR's death metal is an overwhelmingly gutted one, gestating in a doomed-out state before burling and blasting forth ever downward, the atmosphere becoming more blackened the deeper the abyss gets. And for a supposed “demo,” Chasm of Rot features exquisitely massive and miasmic production, ably amplifying the nethermost regions this recording explores. Herald the arrival of DESEKRYPTOR with Chasm of Rot!
