Barbaric Triumph of Evil is a record of two halves. On Side A is a new, otherwise-unreleased EP before Warpvomit changed their moniker to Crurifragium; on Side B is Warpvomit's sole demo, Carnal Sacrifice, which was originally released in 2013. Although only existing for a couple years before the name-change, Warpvomit verily approximated their moniker: disgusting, gestatingly cyclonic bestial metal that brimmed with a weird 'n' unsettling chaos and a tar-thick density. Of course, honoring the unfaltering traditions of warring black metal and Satanic death metal was equally of importance to the American quartet, and all manner of chaos powers commingled with violent blasphemy and profanation, hammered home with diabolic possession and a red-eyed rabidity. With both sides remastered by the ubiquitous VK, Barbaric Triumph of Evil is a snapshot of a feral young band sharpening its claws.
